I am so excited to introduce myself as the new 6th grade teacher at St. Peter School! It is an absolute joy to be joining such a welcoming, faith-filled community, and I’m truly looking forward to getting to know each of you as we begin this new school year together.
I grew up near Point Pleasant, so returning to this area feels like coming home. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach middle school social studies and technical writing in New Jersey, as well as K–12 language arts and middle school social studies in California. No matter where I’ve been, my greatest passion has always been creating a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow—both academically and personally.
I earned my B.A. in Political Science and Family Science & Human Development, along with an M.A. in Child Advocacy & Policy, from Montclair State University. I love bringing my background in education and child development into the classroom to help students build confidence, think critically, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
What drew me to St. Peter School is the strong sense of community, faith, and academic excellence. I’m especially looking forward to incorporating Catholic values into our learning and creating meaningful experiences that help each student thrive.
Outside of school, I enjoy going to concerts, biking, and spending time with my family, friends, and my two cats. I can’t wait to begin this journey with all of you and to make this year one filled with curiosity, growth, and joy.
I’m so grateful to be here—and I look forward to an amazing school year ahead!
Warmly,
Ms. Alexander
