Mrs. Gloster Brings Back Blessings and Inspiration from Her Summer Travels
This summer, our beloved 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Gloster, embarked on an unforgettable journey with her family—one filled with history, faith, and inspiration.
The Glosters recently returned to London after a meaningful trip to Rome, where they had the incredible opportunity to visit the Vatican. While there, they witnessed a truly special moment: Pope Leo appeared live at a window of the Papal Apartments to lead the Angelus Prayer and offer a general blessing to the gathered crowd.
For Mrs. Gloster, this was not only a moving spiritual experience, but one she chose to share with her classroom in a beautiful way. She brought several items to be blessed by the Pope, including a crucifix and rosary beads that will be kept in her classroom, as well as a Blessed Carlo Acutis medal and holy water. These blessed items will serve as symbols of peace, hope, and faith throughout the school year.
“It was truly an amazing experience,” said Mrs. Gloster. “To be present for the Pope’s blessing and to bring a part of that back for my students—it’s something I’ll never forget.”
As we prepare to welcome our students back for a new school year, we’re grateful for the experiences our educators bring into their classrooms—not just from their years of teaching, but from their lives outside the school walls. Mrs. Gloster’s journey is a beautiful reminder of the values we hold dear: curiosity, faith, learning, and the joy of shared experiences.
We can't wait to welcome her (and her stories!) back to school in September!
